Four Auburn players arrested for pot possession

Not a good look for the Tigers.

The Auburn football team got some bad news over the weekend in regards to four players. The Opelika-Auburn News is reporting that four Tigers football players were arrested by the Auburn police department late Saturday night.

Defensive end Byron Cowart, defensive back Carlton Davis, wide receiver Ryan Davis and defensive back Jeremiah Dinson were arrested on a single charge each of second-degree possession of marijuana. Head coach Gus Malzahn said that he is "aware of the situation and we will handle this matter appropriately."

Cowart was a five-star recruit and played in all 13 games as a freshman in 2013, Carlton Davis was named to the SEC All-Freshman team after leading all the freshmen in the conference with three interceptions. The receiver Davis, also a true freshman, didn't have a reception in 2015 but ran the ball twice for 20 yards. Davis' first college carry went for 28 yards.
