Four-star recruit Devan Barrett (6-foot-1, 195 pounds, Tampa, FL) is the No. 5 running back in the nation, according to Rivals.com. On Thursday night, he graced the recruiting world with his commitment, as he announced that he intends to go to Auburn.
Barrett picked Auburn over Alabama, North Carolina, and Tennessee, among others.

Barrett had been classified as an athlete prior to his junior season, as he split time between several positions, including running back and defensive back. Last season, though, he really settled in as an offensive weapon, rushing for nearly 1,900 and scoring 23 total touchdowns.
Barrett is the 13th commit for what is becoming a fantastic class for Auburn. Led by five-star offensive tackle Calvin Ashley, Auburn currently ranks as the No. 12 class in the nation according to 247Sports.
