Just after five o'clock on Saturday, we got this tweet from Auburn's Gus Malzahn.

Shortly after, it was easy to tell why Malzahn was so excited, as four-star athlete Malcolm Askew (5-foot-11, 183 pounds, McCalla, AL) had reportedly just committed to the Tigers.

Askew had listed Auburn as his No. 1 team just a few weeks ago, so this isn't too much of a surprise. Also in Askew's Top 5 were Clemson and Alabama, the two teams that were in this year's national title game. However, he clearly seems to be a big fan of Auburn, and judging by Malzahn's reaction, Auburn is a big fan of him.
Askew is the No. 7 rated athlete of the 2017 recruiting class according to ESPN. He had offers from a total of 45 schools.
