Auburn running back Kamryn Pettway will be out for "an extended period of time" after suffering a shoulder injury two weeks ago against Arkansas, it was announced on Tuesday.

Tigers head coach Gus Malzahn made the announcement in a press conference and also said that Pettway will not need surgery to repair the fracture.
In five games this season, the junior has rushed for 305 yards on 76 attempts and has added six touchdowns on the ground. He is the team's second-leading rusher and turned in one of his best games of the season against Arkansas after rushing for 90 yards and three scores.
The loss of Pettway comes at a tough time for the Tigers as they will play No. 2 Georgia in two weeks and No. 1 Alabama on November 25. They play at Texas A&M on Saturday.
Auburn, the 16th ranked team in the country, will now turn to leading rusher Kerryon Johnson and Kam Martin to handle its rushing duties in his place.
