Former SEC starter has been dismissed by his program following arrest

He was technically suspended for the first two games of this season for undisclosed reasons.

Auburn announced Monday morning the program has dismissed former starting quarterback Sean White after he was arrested early Sunday morning for public intoxication, per AL.com.

AL.com reported the arrest:

"White, 21, was arrested by Auburn police at 2:45 a.m. on the 100 block of N Ross St. in Auburn, according to Auburn police assistant chief William Mathews.

White was admitted to Lee County jail at 3:28 a.m. where he is being held on $500 bond, according to jail records. His court date in Nov. 30."

The arrest came after Auburn had recorded a 24-10 win over Mercer on Saturday evening.

White was the former starter at quarterback at Auburn, making his first start for the team back in 2015. White established himself as the team's starter in the 2016 season, but injuries kept him from reaching his full potential. White was eventually usurped as the team's starter in the offseason by Baylor transfer Jarrett Stidham.

White was technically suspended for the first two games of this season for undisclosed reasons.

White has 2,846 passing yards and and 10 touchdowns against seven interceptions in his Auburn career as quarterback.
