It's about time that Auburn started making some highlights on defense.
Rudy Ford gave Auburn its first pick-6 of the year, as Ford picked off Idaho quarterback Matt Linehan. The interception itself was the least impressive part of the play, as Ford managed to dodge defenders across and down the field into the endzone.
The 48-yard touchdown boosted Auburn to a 35-10 lead in the second quarter, essentially cementing the game for the Tigers. After the scare against Jacksonville State earlier in the year, this was a much needed game where Auburn could get ahead, and then let the foot off the gas in the second half.
