Recruiting kickers can be hard enough with so few good ones in the high school ranks, but the job gets a whole easier when it runs in the family. That's certainly the case for Auburn as their current kicker is a pretty darn good one in Daniel Carlson and the connection between him and brother Anders was strong enough to land the younger one on campus too.
The older Carlson was named to the first-team All-SEC last year and was one of three Lou Groza finalists. He also set an Auburn record with 16 consecutive made field goals and was one of three kickers last year to hit four field goals of 51 yards or more.
