Booger McFarland names his top DL units in the SEC and Alabama is not No. 1

These guys are going to be nasty.

When you think of great defensive line units in the SEC, Alabama and LSU generally come to mind each and every year. However, there's another school in the East out there that should get some more love and SEC Network analyst Booger McFarland will be the first to tell you that. The LSU alum made a list of his top five defensive line units you can see here:

McFarland lost some credibility when he completely left out Tennessee's Derek Barnett from his top linemen list, but got it back when he didn't just hand Alabama the top spot for his entire units list. He named Florida his top unit with four guys returning who all had 25 or more tackles last season.

He even named Bryan Cox Jr. one of his top individual linemen. He had 45 tackles, 3.5 sacks, 10.5 tackles for loss and two forced fumbles last season. Cox Jr. will be joined by Caleb Brantley, Joey Ivie and Cece Jefferson along the line, which should be an imposing and scary defensive line to deal with this season.
