Booger McFarland's top defensive linemen list is absolute trash, leaves out best rusher in SEC

What is he thinking?

With the season getting ever closer to starting everyone is making their lists, but it seems some people are not checking it twice. SEC Network analyst Booger McFarland —- a former defensive lineman for LSU —- made his list of best defensive linemen in the SEC. You would think someone with so much experience and insight at the position would have a sensible list, but McFarland just tweeted utter nonsense.

RELATED: The best edge rusher in the SEC is not Myles Garrett

Pro Football Focus just released its list of best edge rushers in the SEC and Texas A&M's Myles Garrett wasn't on the top of that list either, but to have him fourth on this list is absurd.

For those who don't know those names off the top of your head, he has Alabama's Jonathan Allen first followed by Florida's Bryan Cox and then Charles Harris from Missouri. Then he has Garrett fourth with LSU's Davon Godchaux getting the fifth spot and Ole Miss DE Marquis Haynes getting honorable mention.

So not only is Garrett fourth on this list, but McFarland completely forgot Derek Barnett who was graded as the better edge rusher in PFF's rankings. He's the same age as Garrett and actually has more total tackles and tackles for loss than the heralded draft prospect. To leave Barnett off this list altogether is absolutely embarrassing and who cares if Garrett doesn't play the run? Doesn't that make his 108 tackles and 32 tackles for loss that much more impressive?
