BREAKING: Five-star WR Demetris Robertson announces his verbal commitment

The Savannah, Ga. prospect was choosing between Notre Dame, Georgia and Cal.

The wait is finally over. 2016 five-star wide receiver Demetris Robertson (5-foot-11, 175 pounds, Savannah, Ga.) finally announced his verbal commitment on Sunday afternoon. Robertson was choosing between Notre Dame, Georgia and Cal. On Sunday in a ceremony from the College Football Hall of Fame in Atlanta, Ga., Robertson announced that he was verbally committed to play football at Cal.

Robertson was verbally committed to the Alabama Crimson Tide early in his recruiting process, but reportedly formally took the Tide out of his list of schools in early April. He signed financial aid agreements with Cal, Georgia and Georgia Tech back in March, which gives schools unlimited contact with recruiting prospects. Adding Robertson is huge for Cal, given the wideout is the No. 1 ranked receiver in the 2016 class according to 247Sports.
