Four-star outside linebacker Channing Tindall has had South Carolina at the top of his recruitment for some time, but it looks like there’s another team making headway. Tindall went to Big Cat Weekend in Auburn and that has apparently put them right behind the Gamecocks on the recruiting trail.

“Auburn’s pretty high, No. 2 on my list, South Carolina is No. 1, but they are battling real close right now,” Tindall told 247Sports Saturday night after his second visit to the Plains.

The 6’2″, 213-pound is ranked as the No. 4 OLB in the country by 247Sports’ own rankings and top recruit in the state of South Carolina. The Columbia native also has offers from Georgia, Arkansas, Alabama, Florida and LSU among others.
