Very sad news out of Auburn.
Kenny Howard, the legendary Auburn's trainer who started his career on campus in 1946, died Monday. He was 90.
Howard was on the Tigers' staff during all 25 seasons of Shug Jordan's reign as head football coach.
Auburn Undercover had a statement from athletics director Jay Jacobs, that said:
"Kenny Howard was defined by his human touch for all who knew him and all who came under his influence. As a trainer who worked with every Auburn student-athlete for more than four decades, Kenny's impact on the lives of those who competed here is impossible to measure. He was a great Auburn man who lived his life by the values expressed in our creed.
Howard retired from field work in 1975 and became the assistant athletics director a year later.
