There have been quite a few questions surrounding Alabama's hiring of former USC coach Steve Sarkisian as an offensive analyst this week. Some have taken it at face value as simply an attempt by Saban and Lane Kiffin to get better now. Many others have speculated a bit further, suggesting this is a move to groom Sarkisian to take over for Lane Kiffin as Alabama's Offensive Coordinator should Kiffin leave for a head coaching job this offseason.
Fox analysts Joel Klatt and Colin Cowherd have a different conspiracy theory in mind, one that is equal part devious and genius.
If this were true Saban is even more of a mastermind than we may have thought.
