Mississippi State head coach Dan Mullen knows that his team has a tall task this Saturday when his team take son Alabama. The Bulldogs are feeling good after upsetting Texas A&M, but Mullen told reporters that moving on to get ready for Alabama has been very difficult because there is no adequate way to practice for the Tide.
"It's hard to simulate in practice because they have guys on their bench that nobody else even has on their roster," Mullen told reporters during his Monday press conference. "You can't simulate the talent they have out there on practice. It is very different."
"You've gotta have the right mindset that you can go win the game," said Mullen. "If you don't expect to win the game, there's no chance that you're going to do that."
Mullen clearly has a great deal of respect for the talent on Alabama's roster, as he should. Hopefully that talent comes through in a big way Saturday in Tuscaloosa.
