Top-rated signee from SEC school reportedly transferring after three seasons

Hopefully he finds what he needs at his next stop.

Former four-star linebacker Eli Brown is apparently headed out of Kentucky as he told one reporter from the Sporting Times.

A Kentucky spokesperson confirmed the report and now the highest rated recruit in Kentucky's 2015 class is gone. Brown was the No. 20 outside linebacker and No. 2 player in the state of Kentucky according to the 247Sports Composite rankings.

The 6-foot-2, 208-pound linebacker took a redshirt year in 2015 and played in 12 games in 2016. He only played in five games this season due to injury, but was in line for considerably more playing time this coming season. It remains to be seen where he will transfer for next season.
