Five-star LSU commit could reopen his recruitment after visiting this SEC rival

The battle for this kid is just starting to heat up.

Kelvin Joseph is currently rated as the No. 3 cornerback in the country for the class of 2018 by 247Sports. Earlier in the summer, the 6'1", 185-pound corner said he's fully committed to LSU and didn't plan on looking at any other schools. A lot has changed since then and one visit in particular might have just changed his mind.

Joseph was in Tuscaloosa for a camp and he's now considering reopening his recruitment because of how well he was treated the Alabama staff. The main difference that Joseph saw at Alabama over LSU was the 1-on-1 coaching he received in all of the drills he participated in. It also doesn't hurt when you get to sit down in Nick Saban's office and break down film with him too.

"I can see myself going there. It would be good," Joseph said. "He pointed out every detail in that film to make sure I get it right. Les Miles doesn't really come and tell you 1-on-1 how to do it on defense."

Joseph won't de-commit quite yet as he is a Baton Rouge native and he says it's just not easy for him to leave.

It's just home down there," Joseph said. "They always look out for me."

Joseph plans on bringing his parents to Alabama when he goes back on an official visit and has plans for an official visit to LSU as well. No dates are set, but he does plan on going.
