As anything with college football goes, basically everything starts on the recruiting trail. Apparently Florida head coach Jim McElwain knows this to be true, as the Florida coaching staff will visit over 300 schools in the Sunshine State, according to a new report from the Atlanta Journal-Constitution.
Per the report, nine assistant coaches will be in specific areas during each day, and they're scheduled to visit more than 300 high schools this week to evaluate 2017, 2018 and 2019 recruits. On Monday, coaches will be hitting the Central Florida and Jacksonville areas, and on Tuesday they'll be hitting Southwest Florida and Fort Myers. Then on Wednesday they'll visit prospects in Polk County, St. Petersburg and Tampa, and they'll finish things off Thursday and Friday from South Florida and the Panhandle.
