After going unclaimed on the waivers, this former Gator lands on a practice squad

Well that is certainly interesting.

Former Florida running back Kelvin Taylor was drafted in this year's NFL Draft by the San Francisco 49ers in the sixth round. However, it didn't quite last as he was waived by the team when they were making cuts to get their roster down to 53 players.

He went through the waiver process and it looks like he isn't going anywhere after all. The 49ers will keep him after all, just not on the regular roster.

Should something happen to Carlos Hyde or any of the 49ers' other running backs then Taylor should be in line for a nice call up and hopefully earn some reps on the field that matters most.
