After high drama in Gainesville, running back decides he'll stay

That was a close call.

Florida coach Jim McElwain said after the win against Georgia on Saturday that the team could be without the services of  sophomore running back Jordan Cronkrite. He said that the young man had some things he was trying to figure out and it looks like that's the case.

During his regular Wednesday press conference, McElwain confirmed that Cronkrite would be staying with the team and that they were for him for whatever he needed.

This is great news for Florida as it gives the Gators another option in their stable of running backs against a porous Arkansas run defense that allows over 220 rush yards a game.

Cronkrite has recorded six total touchdowns in his career to go with 269 yards rushing and 171 receiving yards in his two years at Florida. He was a four-star running back in the 2015 class out of Miami, Fla.
