At least one Heisman winner approves of Eddy Pineiro's number choice

That's got to make the kicker feel good.

Florida kicker Eddy Pineiro is a bold guy. He essentially got recruited by Florida by sending out his own video of him knocking through kicks of over 50 yards. Obviously Florida liked that a lot after the kicking woes they suffered through the past few years with Austin Hardin and a dental student trying to kick some field goals.

Pineiro took it another step beyond that with his jersey number choice. He went with Tim Tebow's old number of 15 and there was one former Heisman winner who was cool with it:

Whoa! Wuerffel would let Pineiro wear his number? That shows how terrible the kicking has been the last few seasons, but also how much trust the kicker has earned with people involved with the team and outside of it. He hit all three of his field goals for Florida on Saturday, nailing them from 40, 48 and 49 yards.
