Dan Mullen Trolls Florida With Tweet on National Signing Day

Dan Mullen coached the Florida Gators from 2018-2021, and now, on National Signing Day, the coach appears to have taken a subtle jab at his former employer.
National Signing Day took place on Wednesday, and the Gators didn't have the showing they were hoping for. In the midst of this, Mullen posted a grainy photo of a margarita with no other context on X.

On the first day of the signing period, the Gators saw several recruits flip on them to rival SEC programs.
Marc Ryan of CBS Sports Radio made a post on X comparing Mullen's recruiting classes and his successor, Billy Napier.

In Ryan's post, he made comments about the general opinions of each coach—Mullen not liking recruiting, Napier being much more into it. Despite that, Napier's average class was No. 11 nationally compared to Napier's No. 15 average.
In response to the post, the former Gators head coach stated, "I wish I had the facilities they have now."
Among the recruits that flipped were four-star linebacker Adarius Hayes (went to Miami), four-star defensive lineman Amaris Williams (went to Auburn), and four-star wide receiver Izaiah Williams (went to Texas A&M).
Fortunately, though, Florida did pindown five-star quarterback DJ Lagway and five-star defensive lineman LJ McCray.
In his first two seasons as head coach of the Gators, Napier has had back-to-back 5-7 seasons and multiple players have entered the transfer portal.

Regarding his offensive staff, incoming changes are "to be determined," he told Gators Online's Nick de la Torre.

"Much like we discussed before, we're in the middle of that. We're going to go through — it's one box at a time here, right? We're going to have new leadership in the nutrition area. I'm excited about potential candidates there. Then we've got a lot of other areas, much like most years, where we're going to do things to try to improve our team," Napier added.
