Looks like things could heat up rather quickly in Gainesville next year.

Five-star quarterback Matt Corral (6-foot-2, 198 pounds, Long Beach, Ca.) announced his commitment to Florida a few days ago, something that was surely celebrated by the Florida faithful. That might not be the only thing they will be celebrating though, as Corral says that he is planning to enroll early with the school.
Of course, this would give Corral the opportunity to play with the Gators in spring ball, and potentially cement himself as the team's starter when the 2018 season rolls around. Considering the issues that Florida has had in recent years at quarterback, it would be a big boost for them to be able to give Corral those reps and potentially allow him to become the "quarterback of the future" sooner rather than later.
Corral, rated as the No. 7 overall recruit by Rivals, is the highest-rated quarterback to ever commit to Florida. Corral was previously committed to USC before he went back on that decision in June.
