Florida picks up two South Florida commits

Florida has continued to attack the South Florida region with the help of Randy Shannon. So far, Shannon has shown his strength as a recruiter. On Wednesday, the Gators picked up two South Florida commits in Miami Central High School defensive end Eric Mitchell and Miami Norland linebacker Vosean Joseph.

Joseph wasted no time in committing to Florida. He was offered on Tuesday and decided to commit less than 24 hours later. I love when recruits decide to commit immediately. It shows that they really want to be at a particular school.

Joseph is currently unrated by 247Sports and is very undersized to play LB at the next level (6-foot-1, 210 pounds). Maybe Shannon sees this as a project. In his highlight reel above, he is a pretty good tackler.

Mitchell looks like the better prospect as far as his highlight reel is concerned. Mitchell is also unrated by 247Sports, but his highlight reel is much better. The 6-foot-2, 230-pound defensive end looks like he gets off the edge nicely and provides pressure. He also looks like a good tackler.

With the addition of these two, Florida now has three commits for the class of 2016.
