After Florida was forced to punt on their opening possession, the Crimson Tide opened the game with an 87 yard touchdown pass. It looked like the Tide might roll past the Gators, but Florida's defense tightened up to force two fumbles and the Gator offense was able to convert the first into a touchdown pass of their own.
