Florida verbal commits and early enrollees sign grant-in-aid agreements

Grant-in-aid agreements guarantee prospects a scholarship with a school, and allow unlimited coaching contact.

Florida is making some serious headway on the recruiting trail heading into the last week of the regular season. Shortly after picking up its 23rd verbal commitment of the 2016 class, head coach Jim McElwain announced signing of grant-in-aids for two verbal commitments and early enrollees in wide receiver Freddie Swain and defensive back Chauncey Gardner.

Grant-in-aid agreements guarantee both players scholarships with the Florida, and they can now have unlimited contact with the team's coaching staff. The coaching staff to use their names publicly and in recruiting other prospects.
