It has been announced that the permanent divisional crossover game between Florida and LSU will kickoff at noon on October 8. That's not ideal for either team as both have fallen a bit flat in recent weeks with the Gators taking a bad loss to Tennessee and the Tigers having just fired their coach of 12 years.

It's the worst of the kickoff times, but at least the Gators will get to host LSU after heading to Vanderbilt this weekend for what should be a bounce back game. The Florida-LSU rivalry dates back to 1971 and has been the permanent cross-division rivalry game since the conference split into East and West in 1992.
The game is almost always the 3:30 CBS game or a night game on ESPN/ABC, but with both programs coming off bad losses this year's game got the noon designation. Florida coach Jim McElwain knows his team deserves this though after the way they played on Saturday. "We put ourselves in position to play at noon," McElwain said. "So we better get used to it."
