Former Florida great makes opening night roster

Glad to see this guy make a roster for sure.

Florida has gone through a couple of NBA Drafts without a player getting drafted, but guys have still found their way into the league. Udonis Haslem is one of the best examples and now Dorian Finney-Smith gets his shot as well according to ESPN's Tim McMahon.

The former Gator forward just made the cut for the Dallas Mavericks on opening night. He is now a part of the 15-man roster and could get his chance to shine, albeit on a team that is not expected to make the playoffs or even come close.

The 6'8", 220-pound Finney-Smith averaged 14.7 points, 2.1 assists and 8.3 rebounds in his last season at Florida. He shot about 44 percent from the floor and 36.6 percent from beyond the arc as well.
