Not many people might know the name Eric Kresser unless you went to Florida in the mid-90s or thoroughly knew the teams from that decade. The 43-year old is living in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida kicking back and probably reminiscing on the incredible 1995 season where the team went 12-1 and he threw 12 touchdowns against two interceptions in relief of Danny Wuerffel.
According to The Herald-Dispatch, Kresser was in line to grab some coffee at Starbucks on Saturday. But instead of the usual, get-in-and-get-out routine, he ended up staying a little longer than he probably anticipated when a man, James Cameron, fell to the floor and was turning blue.
Instinctively, Kresser performed CPR and revived him before an ambulance even arrived.
Kresser is a football coach and actually knows CPR for his job, but this was the first time he had to use it outside of his training. He's just hoping he can get kids to see the value of CPR and why it's so important for everyday living.
"I just did what I was taught to do," Kresser said. "The kids I teach don't want to go to their CPR class. They'd rather play basketball or something. Maybe this will help them understand how important it is."
Those kids better listen!
