Four-star QB Deondre Francois announces on Twitter that he has decommitted from Florida State, now says he was hacked

UPDATE: After two hours, Francois finally tweeted that his Twitter was hacked and he is "100 percent" committed to Florida State. It seems a bit strange that he would wait that long to say something when he probably knows what's going on, considering his family and coaches were contacted. You'd want to clear the smoke immediately. With that being said, I do not think Francois is actually "100 percent" committed. It would not shock me if he puts on a Gators hat on National Signing Day.

UPDATE: Commit Jacques Patrick tweets that he has talked to Francois and says he was hacked (as I predicted). It is weird though, that he can't tweet that someone hacked his Twitter and say he's still committed to Florida State.

UPDATE: Here's another bit of information on the situation with Francois. It looks like Weinke has no idea what's going on, just like all of us.

UPDATE: IMG Academy head coach and former Florida State QB Chris Weinke tells 247Sports that the report from Richard Johnson is not true.

UPDATE: Richard Johnson of the Alligator has confirmed that Francois has in fact decommitted from Florida State.

UPDATE: After originally telling Florida State that he would keep his commitment, four-star QB Deondre Francois has changed his mind. According to his Twitter, Francois said he was reopening his commitment with less than a week to National Signing Day.

Minutes later, the tweet was deleted. By the looks of it though, Francois may not be so solid to Florida State after all.

With a strong, late push by Florida, it was rumored that four-star Florida State QB commit Deondre Francois would flip his commitment to the Gators. Fans went crazy after he changed his Twitter bio from committed to Florida State to no mention of the Seminoles. Francois took an official visit to Gainesville this past weekend, but according to Michael Langston of Warchant, Francois will keep his commitment to Florida State.

"The Florida visit was good, it was great. It's a great environment with a great coach, but I'm staying with Florida State," Francois said, via the Orlando Sentinel. "My heart is with Florida State. I like Florida, it's a great school, but I feel I can be more successful with Florida State, under Jimbo [Fisher]."

Newberg says Francois' mother called Florida State's staff to tell them that her son would be playing football for the Seminoles in 2015.

If he does actually end up signing with Florida State, that would be huge for the Noles. In my opinion, out of the three quarterbacks signed in the 2015 class (Francois, Deandre Johnson and Kai Locksley), Francois is definitely the best quarterback.

Jimbo Fisher is scheduled to meet with Francois Monday, so we should have a better idea of where things stand with him after Monday.

According to 247Sports, Francois is rated as the third-best pro-style quarterback of the class of 2015.
