Four-star WR Anthony Schwartz announces top two schools in the mix for his commitment

This bodes well for the in-state schools.

Wide receiver Anthony Schwartz is ranked as a four-star recruit by Scout in the class of 2018 and he is already looking ahead to his potential commitment. He's got two schools at the top of his list according to SEC Country and those are the Florida Gators and Miami Hurricanes.

He was in Gainesville this past weekend for the first time and the American Heritage School (Florida) standout seemed to enjoy his Florida visit:

The 5'11", 175-pound receiver also has three teammates already on campus there in linebacker James Houston, defensive tackle T.J. Slaton and cornerback Marco Wilson. In an interview with SEC Country he said why he really likes Florida and what the coaches have been telling him:

"It was great and I loved the campus. We toured the student athlete education center, the locker room, and the field. (The coaches) were saying that they really want me up there and that they want to use me as a game changer.

"They felt that I would fit right into their offense and that they'll tell me more about it next time I come up."

Schwartz has 16 offers right now and could end up making his decision in August. What will weigh heavily in his decision will be the ability to play football and run track, which both schools are offering.

"UF is at the top with Miami," Schwartz said. "Mainly their facilities and they'll both allow me to play football and run track. Florida has a really good track team, I do know that."

The men's team has won outdoor national titles in recent years with those titles coming in 2012, 2013 and 2016. That might give the Gators a slight edge in the long run, but they'll have to settle for top two right now.
