Florida fans and college football analysts alike will all agree that Florida's quarterback play, and therefore the offense, did not look good at all this season. If the Gators want to play a complete game of football next season they will definitely need a better quarterback.

So it should come as no surprise that even though his team just lost in the SEC Championship Game, coach Jim McElwain is out on the recruiting trail. He had a visit with former five-star quarterback Jarrett Stidham who has been playing JUCO ball this season after transferring out of Baylor in 2015.

And just like he addressed his biggest issue last year —- kicking —- McElwain is trying to secure a commitment from Stidham to address his biggest problem this year. The Auburn leaning QB spoke to 247Sports' Taylor Hamm about the Gators after watching them Saturday in the conference title game.
"Their offense has the potential to be a great offense with the (offensive) line and playmakers that they have," Stidham said.
Florida will have receiver Antonio Callaway back next year along with its stable of running backs and receiver Tyrie Cleveland. So the weapons will definitely be there if Stidham decides to head to Gainesville instead of Auburn.
