Florida head coach Jim McElwain was not a happy camper on Friday as he met with the media to discuss a week of practice. McElwain was especially frustrated with the team's practice on Thursday. Here's some of what he had to say, courtesy of the Atlanta Journal-Constitution.

"Thursday's practice was unacceptable," McElwain said via Zach Abolverdi. "We were not firing on all cylinders. It was the first real day we had sunshine, heat, humidity, all that stuff. You can use that as an excuse.
"I was a little disappointed to be quite frank. It was not the standard or expectation we have to be successful. That isn't everybody, but there are some areas that need to get better and they've been let know."
McElwain is threatening to bench some of the older players who were not into Thursday's practice. Said there could be new guys in the lineup

More of #Gators coach JIm McElwain on a bad practice: "The mindset on Tuesday was 'Can I just get off this field because it's a little hot'"

Thursday's practice session was an important one because Friday marks the first scrimmage of fall camp with full pads. It's obvious that there are days in which teams have bad practices some days, but it's clear that McElwain was unhappy about it given the length that he talked about it.
