Jim McElwain has done something only Steve Spurrier did at Florida

He's not going anyway.

Most Florida fans would have you think that Jim McElwain is a terrible coach despite getting the team to the SEC Championship Game two years in a row. In fact, with the stunning win over Kentucky on Saturday, Jim McElwain joins elite company:

Spurrier worked out pretty well for Florida, leading the Gators to an 87-12 record in SEC play and of course winning a national title while coaching a Heisman winner. While this iteration of the Gators doesn't boast any sort of Heisman candidate —- this year anyway —- it has found ways to win games and is 2-0 in SEC play so far. Not even Urban Meyer started that well as he had a 14-4 record in the same amount of games.
