Jim McElwain updates Antonio Callaway's status for North Texas game

Will he be able to go on Saturday?

Florida sophomore receiver had a chance to get his body right for the North Texas game during practice this week, but as of now he is highly questionable to doubtful' to play against North Texas on Saturday. He suffered a quadriceps injury against Kentucky last weekend and has been trying to fight through it in practice.

Unfortunately, Callaway was limited to just a few drills during Wednesday's practice and that has McElwain concerned. During the SEC teleconference earlier in the day, McElwain said Callaway 'wasn't himself' at Tuesday's practice and the Gators' coach was eager to see Callaway's progress, which has not been as good as he hoped.

Fans were hopeful that Callaway would be good to go, but with him out, some bench players should be able to get in some needed in-game reps with the first team and against a team that the Gators should beat. C.J. Worton, Ahmad Fulwood, Freddie Swain and Josh Hammond will all likely get extra looks on Saturday.
