Florida football has undergone one major change in the past couple weeks in losing defensive coordinator Geoff Collins. He is taking the head coaching job at Temple and head coach Jim McElwain still hasn't named a permanent defensive coordinator.

Linebackers coach Randy Shannon has been named the interim DC for now and we now have a very loose timeline on when a permanent replacement will be hired.

Regardless of when the Gators make a decision it looks like they likely won't have a new defensive coordinator until 2017 since the game is Jan. 2 in Tampa.
