Florida originally thought that it would have to play without freshman center Gorjok Gakfor the entire season, but it looks like their fortunes have changed. Not 20 minutes after the team got on the bus to head to its first game in Jacksonville, Florida got a ruling on an appeal it sent in for Gak's eligibility.

He was originally ruled ineligible to play —- but he could practice with the team —- for his freshman season because of an issue with the number of games he played at Victory Prep in Bradenton his senior year. The Florida compliance office filed a waiver for an appeal and it seems their prayers have been answered.
The 6'10" center will get to test himself in live action now behind John Egbunu and Kevarrius Hayes. His 7'4" wingspan will undoubtedly come in handy and should see the court tonight as he was driven to the game arena shortly after receiving the news.
