The Florida Gators were supposed to have a media day for the basketball team on Tuesday, but it was cancelled under seemingly mysterious circumstances. However, it's being reported that the reason for the cancellation was because Florida has found its new athletic director and the Gators totally stole him from another SEC school.

Current AD Jeremy Foley was set to retire on Saturday so a hire had to be made soon and it looks like that's happening as we speak:

Stricklin was named the 2016 Under Armour Athletic Director of the Year and is an alum of Mississippi State. He has been serving as the school's AD since 2010.
