The running backs are averaging a solid 4.81 yards per carry and the quarterbacks have averaged 244.7 yards per game through the air. With Fresno State firing its coach in Tim DeRuyter, several names have been floating around to replace him and it seems Nussmeier's is one of them.
Nussmeier was the offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach for Fresno State in 2008 before he took the same position at Washington, Alabama and Michigan before coming over with Jim McElwain to Florida in 2015.
