Throwback Thursday: Reggie Lewis picks off Vanderbilt QB Jay Cutler to give Florida a 2OT victory

In 2005, backup cornerback Reggie Lewis was picked on all day by Vanderbilt's Jay Cutler. Whomever Lewis was covering, Cutler was going to throw it to that receiver. But when it mattered most, Lewis stepped up.

The cornerback sealed a 49-42 victory over the Vanderbilt Commodores by intercepting Cutler, extending Florida's winning streak to 15 games over the 'Dores. Cutler threw for 361 yards and four touchdowns, but had the costly interception, which ended the game in the second overtime.

Earlier in 2OT, Gators wide receiver Jemalle Cornelius made a leaping, 16-yard touchdown catch in the back corner of the end zone that gave UF the lead. Current wide receivers coach and former Gators QB Chris Leak delivered a beautiful pass.

Let's hope we don't need two overtimes this Saturday when the Gators and Commodores kickoff at 7:30 p.m. in Nashville. You'll be able to watch the game on the SEC Network.
