Tim Tebow has been trying to make it in the Major Leagues as a baseball player this year and it looks like his journey is taking a turn for the better as he's being promoted:
He will play his last game with the Columbia Fireflies on Sunday and then head down to his native Florida to play some more baseball. Tebow has been batting .222 over 63 games with three homeruns, 23 RBIs and 23 walks attracted.
"Tim brought an incredible amount of experience and leadership to our clubhouse," Fireflies president John Katz said. "His contributions, both on the field and in our community, have made a tremendous impact on our team, the City of Columbia and the entire South Atlantic League. We wish Tim the best as he continues his journey to Citi Field."
Tebow is set to play his first game with St. Lucie on June 27.
