Sirmones is most known for his game-tying touchdown in one of the best rivalry games we get to watch every year. The Egg Bowl of 1999 was one of the best games in the series between Ole Miss and Mississippi State. With the Dawgs down 20-13, Sirmones found himself open in the end zone and caught the touchdown to tie the game.

The Bulldogs converted on a 44-yard field goal to before time expired to win the game.

This is the second fatal occurrence this month with Chris Smith passing away following a shooting earlier this month. There aren't any more details on Sirmones' homicide yet, but we will keep you updated.
