Stewart Mandel from Fox Sports wasn't waiting for Week 1 of the college football regular season to wrap up before he dropped a brand-new top 10.
And when he did, there were plenty of risers and fallers after a shocking opening weekend. The biggest riser? Texas A&M.
After blowing a 24-9 lead, the Aggies held on in overtime to stun No. 16 UCLA, 31-24 in overtime. Defensive end Myles Garrett is the real deal and, as Mandel points out, the Aggie defense suffocated quarterback Josh Rosen all afternoon.
With previous title contenders LSU and Oklahoma dropping their respective opening games, Mandel also had Houston leapfrogging Stanford, Ohio State and Michigan to take over the No. 4 slot with an impressive opening win over Oklahoma.
The other big surprise here is Clemson still holding a top-4 spot after narrowly escaping an upset by unranked Auburn. A win is a win, though, we guess.
Here's the full list, and you can check out all the analysis here.
