FSU commit considering flip to one of three SEC schools

Sounds like his recruitment is heating up.

Four-star safety Cyrus Fagan is not as hard a commit to the Seminoles as was once believed. SEC Country recently caught up with the young man in Daytona Beach, Florida and he has a top three for SEC schools. In order, they are Georgia, Florida and Tennessee.

SEC Country notes that Georgia is the most likely to flip Fagan of the three, but former teammates DE Jachai Polite (UF) and OT Marcus Tatum (UT) could help the Gators and Vols.

"I've played with them at Mainland for two years, so they're like my brothers," Fagan said. "If what they're saying about their school is true when they get there, then I'll consider them more."

Georgia has the edge right now because of Fagan's familiarity with defensive coordinator Mel Tucker who was at an Alabama summer camp he attended. He likes UF's recent hire of Torrian Gray (secondary coach) and says he's a coach he really gets along with and he likes Tennessee's uniforms the best out of the three.

Fagan gave the classic quote that he's still committed to the Seminoles, but he could change his mind. Fagan is 6'2", weighs 182 pounds and is in the class of 2017. He's ranked as the sixth best safety in the class by 247Sports and the 15th best player in the state of Florida.
