After a huge recruiting weekend, Alabama is no longer No. 2 in the country

The rivalry continues.

The way Kirby Smart is starting his tenure in Athens, it might not be long before people start comparing him to his old boss, Nick Saban.

The latest move by Smart has his Georgia Bulldogs (258) leapfrogging Alabama (254) to No. 2 in the 2017 recruiting rankings, and narrowly trailing No. 1 Ohio State (267), via 247sports.

Georgia's pickups of four-star running back Toneil Carter and four-star OL Andrew Thomas.

With work still to do, Smart isn't celebrating too much, but he'll continue to work the recruiting trail with hopes it pays off on the gridiron.
