High school kids on a live mic can always lead to statements that weren't meant to be said. However, if this wasn't a slip-up by five-star recruit Demetris Robertson (6-foot-0, 175 pounds, Savannah, GA), then his recruitment might be a lot more open than his recent commitment to Cal lets on.
In the interview with a member of FOX5 in Atlanta, Robertson mentions that his commitment to Cal hasn't warded off all suitors just yet. Robertson mentions that Georgia is still trying to persuade him to come to Athens, and that they might as well keep trying. "I'm not on campus yet."
Oh boy...
Robertson already had a whirlwind of a recruitment. The wide receiver had been waiting to see if he could pass Stanford's admission standards, meaning that his recruitment extended nearly three months past National Signing Day. Robertson eventually announced a surprise commitment to Cal, but it looks like Georgia might still have a chance.
Like he said, he's not on campus yet; we will have to wait and see where this goes.
