Four-star OT D'Antne Demery to choose between two SEC schools next week

The Brunswick, Ga. product will decide next Wednesday.

Four-star offensive tackle D'Ante Demery (6-foot-5, 319 pounds, Brunswick, Ga.) is down to his two finals schools, and they both hail from the SEC. The Nation's No. 16 ranked offensive tackle in the 2017 class is deciding between Georgia and Alabama, and he will make his announcement next Wednesday, according to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution. Demery took a visit to both schools, and has good feelings about both powerhouses.

"They are real tough people," Demery said regarding Alabama, per the AJC. "I love to work hard and Nick Saban is a great coach...It was Nick Saban who I really talked to. He is a great coach, down-to-earth man and he is going to tell you what's real. He isn't going to sugarcoat anything."

Saban's protégé — longtime Crimson Tide defensive coordinator Kirby Smart, who is the new head man in Athens, is also making a strong impact on Demery. The four-star also adds that since Athens is close to his hometown of Brunswick, Ga., is a factor with his recruiting process.

"Kirby and the people at Georgia," Demery said were the things that stood out most about Georgia per the AJC. "They are real cool. They want to know you. I love that about UGA. It's kind of like the people in Brunswick, where I am from."

Demery is expected to announce his commitment following the Golden Isles Exposure camp at his high school next Wednesday.
