Four-star receiver Alontae Taylor ended up committing to Tennessee in the early signing period despite his decommitment from them back in February. However, it apparently was a pretty close call and it he ended up back with the Volunteers because of a missed phone call by Georgia.
Taylor was ranked as the No. 22 receiver in this class and the No. 5 recruit in the state of Tennessee according to the 247Sports Composite rankings. Georgia ended up with the top recruiting class in the country so it didn't hurt them too much in the end, but any time you miss out on a top notch prospect you always wonder what could have been.
The Dawgs are probably a little more concerned with their game against Oklahoma in the Rose Bowl on New Year's Day, but the Vols will be more than happy to capitalize on that recruiting mistake for next year.
