Former Georgia and NFL star shares strong opinion on job Richt is doing

Mark Richt has been taking fire from all angles lately, but one place you wouldn't expect the criticism to come from is one of his former player.

But former Georgia standout Champ Bailey told an Atlanta radio show that it's time for Richt's tenure in Athens to end.

"I think it's about time to end this era," Bailey told The Rude Awakening radio show on Atlanta's 680 The Fan. "I mean, there's obviously some things over there that we can't fix at this point, and it's probably time to move on. Fifteen years at one place is a long time."

An All-American cornerback with the Bulldogs from 1996-98, Bailey played in the NFL for 14 seasons with the Denver Broncos, Washington Redskins, and New Orleans Saints.
