Georgia's star quarterback might have suffered a setback in practice

Could it be anything serious?

Georgia fans were just getting used to the idea of true freshman Jacob Eason becoming the starter this year, but that might be in jeopardy now. On Tuesday, Eason felt some discomfort in his throwing shoulder and it seems to have affected him quite negatively.

According to The Telegraph, freshman QB Jacob Eason had his shoulder looked at during the Bulldogs' practice session on Tuesday:

Eason received a rub-down on his right shoulder during the first few periods of practice and was having trouble with his accuracy on a couple of passes. At times, he was throwing short-to-intermediate passes with a staffer off to the side instead of rotating in drills with teammates Brice Ramsey and Greyson Lambert.

Eason stayed at the practice, but this could hurt Eason's  chances of becoming the starter for Week 1 of the season if the problem lingers. Hopefully it was just some soreness that can be corrected, but if not then Lambert and Ramsey have a QB battle on their hands. And I don't think that's what Bulldog fans were hoping to hear.
