Monty Rice is a four-star inside linebacker in the class of 2017 who had been committed to LSU since December and that was with an offer from Alabama. However, he's apparently done some last-minute thinking and will enroll, but not in Baton Rouge. Rice took official visits to his final three schools of Georgia, LSU and Auburn and he decided that the neither of the Tigers were the right for him.

"When I committed to LSU, I was still considering Georgia, and now I have decided that is the school for me," said Rice. "I just feel Georgia is a safe selection for me.
"I like coach Kirby Smart and I like coach [Glenn] Schumann (inside linebackers) and coach [Mel] Tucker (defensive coordinator) a lot," said Rice. "They have coaches some good players and they know how to develop players."

The 6'2", 228-pound linebacker out of Madison, Ala. also had offers from Arkansas, Auburn, Florida State and Michigan among others. This flip makes for Georgia's third huge commitment in two days with DeAngelo Gibbs and Tray Bishop giving Kirby Smart their commitment in the class of 2017.
